晚明 黃花梨四出頭高靠背官帽椅

選材考究，搭腦彎弧有力造型流暢，中部削出斜坡成枕。雕如意頭形花紋一朵的三彎靠背板以榫卯嵌入搭腦下方與椅盤後大邊。圓材後腿上截出榫納入搭腦，穿過椅盤成為方材腿足，一木連做；前腿足也是相似做法。三彎弧形的扶手以榫卯接合後腿上截與前腿鵝脖，中間支以三彎形上細下大的圓材聯幫棍。椅盤格角攢邊框，抹頭見透榫，下有二根彎帶支承。冰盤沿自中上部向下內斂至底壓窄平線。椅盤四框內緣踩邊打眼造軟屜，現用舊蓆是更替品。座面下安沿邊起線的窪膛肚券口牙子。左右兩面及後方為相似素牙子。前腿間施一踏腳棖，左右兩邊與後方則安方材管腳棖，皆出透榫。踏腳棖及管腳棖下各有一素牙條。

The chair is in overall good condition. In keeping with its domestic use, there is expected surface wear, minor cracks and bruises to the fragile extremities and the tips of the feet. There is an area of repair to the back rail measuring approx. 10 cm. Please note that there is a name inscribed to one inner leg (Huang). As typical for Ming chairs, the matting has been periodically replaced.

黃花梨四出頭官帽椅，長58.3厘米，寬 45厘米，高115厘米。因搭腦兩端與兩扶手均凸出腿足上截及鵝脖而稱四出頭。而「官帽」，有謂椅的形狀如古代官吏所戴的帽子而得名。此椅靠背高，三彎弧形，承托着人的背部。靠背板浮雕如意頭形花紋一朵。搭腦兩端與扶手盡端被削至齊平，是四出頭官帽椅的標準形式。搭腦中部削出斜坡成枕，以便頭部倚靠，亦是高質素官帽椅的特徵。高靠背四出頭官帽椅可能是傳世明朝家具椅型中最稀有的類型。此類椅型常見於明代書籍版畫插圖如《金瓶梅》。

王世襄舊藏有一件非常相似例子，現藏於上海博物館，載錄於王世襄，《明式家具珍賞》，文物出版社，北京，2003年，頁88；以及莊貴侖編，《莊氏家族捐贈上海博物館‧明清家具集萃》，兩木出版社，香港，1998年，頁36–37 。北京中央工藝美術學院收藏另一造型相似，但背板光素的例子，收錄在陳增弼著，中央工藝美術學院編 ，《中央工藝美術學院‧院藏珍品‧圖錄‧第二輯‧明式家具》，捷藝佳出版公司，香港，1994年，頁23。
