晚明 黃花梨木軸門圓角櫃

櫃頂為標準格角榫攢邊打槽鑲面心板，抹頭可見明榫，下裝二根穿帶支承。四根櫃腿是立柱起混面，角壓窄線，以長短榫納入櫃頂邊框，出一透榫。活動式閂杆旁的櫃門為標準格角榫攢邊打槽裝板，門框起混面壓邊線，閂杆如是。邊壓邊線中起混面，外側門框兩頭伸出門軸，納入造於櫃帽與門下前腿足間底棖的臼窩。木紋華美並對稱的獨板櫃門背面安四根穿帶出梢裝入門框。櫃內有活動屜板一層置於櫃幫穿帶上，中央一層固定格板裝兩具帶黃銅面頁與拉手的抽屜。門下起邊線底棖之下安一格角帶耳形牙頭的素牙條，二端嵌入櫃腳，上以齊頭碰底棖。兩側及背面安類似牙條。櫃上三片黃銅面頁捶打成弧面以配合混面門框與閂杆，並有三個方形鈕頭與形狀優美的吊牌。櫃內原來的漆灰、糊織物與漆裹保存近乎完整。

The cabinet is in overall good condition with expected scratches and minor bruises to the edges and fragile extremities, as expected through its use in a domestic setting over the centuries. There are minor areas of restoration to shallow flakes on the legs. The interior is preserved in its original condition with no finishing and therefore has areas of visible flaking. The metalware is original and the original ramie, clay and lacquer coating remains almost completely intact in the inside and back of the cabinet.

此具黃花梨木軸門櫃造型優雅，比例勻稱。一雙獨板櫃門木紋對稱，緊密細緻生動如畫，把黃花梨木特徵顯現得淋漓盡致。兩側獨板櫃幫，以及其他構件亦取自一材，一木一器。更難得的是此櫃保存狀況極佳，所有銅活均原裝，櫃內與櫃背的原來的漆灰、糊織物與漆裹亦保存近乎完整。

木軸門圓角櫃是中國傳統家具最精巧優美的設計之一。四足自噴面的櫃帽下展出幅度些微的側腳。這種下舒上斂的設計賦予此櫃集精致優雅亦兼具平衡穩固的優點於一身。櫃門邊上下兩端伸出門軸，納入櫃身框上下的臼窩，以為軸門旋轉開啟，令櫃身無需加附銅活合葉，整體線條利落清爽，一氣呵成。櫃門及閂杆上安裝的長方形銅面頁、鈕頭與吊牌除了其實用功能外，亦提供此通體全素圓角櫃唯一的裝飾。木軸門圓角櫃，是中國家具藝術的代表作。
