森田子龍出生於日本豐岡市，在日本戰後藝壇理論及實踐發展過程中佔據重要位置。他被尊為日本現代書法先鋒之一，也是著名團體「墨人會」聯合創辦人之一。在森田的領導下，「墨人會」成為了最具影響力和創新意識的戰後先鋒藝術團體之一，將書法的概念轉變為現代表現主義繪畫，旨在摒除不同文化間的壁壘，並形成一種新型國際化藝術。森田子龍遊歷廣泛，桃李遍天下，其作品曾於紐約現代藝術博物館、東京國立近代美術館、悉尼現代美術館、華盛頓科科倫藝術館及芝加哥藝術學院展出。
