Manual winding movement in working order when cataloging. The clock is in excellent condition, paint on minute hand is a bit cracked but nothing serious. This clock can be hung on wall or used as a table clock, please follow the instruction to install as the body of the clock (movement and dial part) is rather fragile. Overall in excellent condition. Case numbered 31659. Please note the movement has not been tested for time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense.

「Arachnophobia」意為「蜘蛛恐懼症」，為西方文化中最古老、最普遍的恐懼症之一。不過，創意天馬行空的MB&F創辦人Maximilian Büsser將這種恐懼轉化為前衛大膽的藝術表達。「Arachnophobia」實為一隻八腳蜘蛛，頂部軀幹顯示時分。「Arachnophobia」的靈感來自藝術家路易絲‧布爾喬亞（Louise Bourgeois , 1911 – 2010年） 的巨型蜘蛛雕像 Maman（法語母親之意）。Maman以青銅、不鏽鋼和大理石打造而成，高逾 30英尺，這些作品聳立於世界各地知名地標前，例如英國泰德美術館或日本六本木。蜘蛛的外型或許令人感到不安，但它蘊涵Bourgeois對母親的敬愛——她在織錦廠工作維生，如蜘蛛般編織出令人驚嘆的圖案。

「Arachnophobia」的蜘蛛造型頭部裝置了平衡擺輪調校機制，而另一端則搭載發條盒，由L'Epée 研發的機芯釋放動能。L'Epée機芯由218個零件、11顆寶石組成，備8日動力儲存。L'Epée自1839年創立以來，一直站於時鐘製造領域的前沿，專注製造高級時鐘，而且所有零件均以手工打造。黑色隆起的半球型代表蜘蛛軀幹，顯示時分；八隻蜘蛛腳以球窩關節連接軀體。蜘蛛腳可旋轉曲直，可盤立於案桌上、或張牙舞爪地爬伏在牆壁上，令人不得不加以「提防」。

「Arachnophobia」的設計充滿玩味，讓人與蜘蛛親密接觸——用家須每隔八日為此鐘上弦一次，此時必須將蜘蛛翻轉，在腹部調校時間。
