each brightly painted on the upper and lower bulbs with a stylised central lotus blossom with feathery leaves surrounded by other flowerheads including chrysanthemum, iris and honeysuckle, all reserved on a yellow ground above a band of blue key fret at the base and around the neck, tied at the waist with a coral ribbon decorated with gilt bats, surmounted by a large gilt bat, the reverse with a slot for suspension

These are in good condition, but there is an area of restoration to the back of the bats, where they are joined to the vases and one is chipped in two places to the bat.
