丙戌中秋,峨眉絶頂待月,已而微雨,因賦此辭,越歲奉為山腴老伯寫峨眉三頂,并錄呈正。「白也狂歌,換清平身世」誤書「淒涼身世」。大千張爰並識。

上款:「山腴」即林思進(1874-1953),號清寂,四川華陽人。光緒舉人,官內閣中書。入民國,在蜀中從事教育事業,歷任成都大學、四川大學等校教職。四九年後,任四川省文史館副館長。他於詩古文辭,造詣湛深,有詩文集多種傳世。
註:大千先生一生多次往遊蜀中峨嵋勝境。初遊於一九三九年六月,與張心智、黃君璧等同行,逾時竟月;再遊於一九四四年九月;三遊於四六年八月。四八年上旬,再率子侄門人往遊,這是他去國前最後一次踏足峨嵋。本幅所寫乃四六年三遊峨嵋之行,也是規模最盛者,隨行者約廿餘人。是次居接引殿,晝率學生四出觀景,晚則講論畫理。至中秋夜登金頂賞月,因天雨阻行,正意興闌珊待歸,忽雨收雲散,皓月銀暉滿山灑遍,遂率眾進亭賞月。先生翌年追記寫成本幅送贈鄉前輩林思進,畫上所填詞句即記當日賞月的經歷。
峨嵋三頂即金頂、千佛頂及萬佛頂。以三頂各自所處的天然位置,從山中任何單一視點都難攬其全貌。大千先生逞其豐富的想像力,對峨嵋山勢的瞭解,及充份掌握山水畫構圖佈局的運用,高度概括地將三頂納於一景。同類手法早見於一九四五年的〈千重雲嶺〉,乃寫贈川劇名丑角周企何,屬橫幅。另一〈峨嵋三頂〉寫於一九六一年,屬七尺大中堂,三者表現手法如一。但按畫作面積大小而位置經營有別。本幅尺幅最小,但畫工精細,結構緊密,山腰留白處見雲嵐迴盪,益顯飄渺靈動,凸顯了三頂聳峙的氣勢,畫家筆下造景之精絶,於此曲盡矣!畫中四人聯袂賞月,或曰乃大千與兄長張文修及學生等,可謂人景相襯,如置身畫境得領略「峨嵋天下秀」之妙!
又:大千先生於一九八一年寫另幅〈峨嵋三頂〉,用筆較粗放外,構圖大概參照本幅,題詞相同,記敍四六年峨嵋中秋之遊。但以有個別字句脫漏,讀之略欠通順。他題曰:「三十五年前,與林山翁、向仲堅峨嵋作中秋,稚柳代予倚〈拜星月慢〉,頃寫此圖,漫錄其上……」按此說法,該詞乃謝稚柳代填。蓋先生待償文債畫債甚多,不勝負荷,故有倩謝玉岑稚柳昆仲代筆。一九四○年,他致函謝稚柳,稱「……兹更有請求,此詞系仲堅索和清真原韵,當時忘卻告弟,兹將仲堅和詞錄乞用其韵,仍以登峨眉為題意,企盼萬千。」
「林山翁」即林思進,「仲堅」即柳谿詞人向迪琮。綜合畫題及手札所記,〈拜星月慢〉應出謝氏手筆,但究竟是否四○年他所填或四六年時之作,則有待查考。
