註：本幅原藏者乃香港新聞界碩宿，先後主理多家報社筆政，主編文藝副刊。又嗜藝術，與書畫界友好，早於六十年代初期，如豐子愷、潘天壽、李可染、程十髮等皆有繪贈。是時，本港報界精書畫鑑賞者，如費彝民、李俠文、陳凡、羅孚等，多偏好黃賓虹作品，蒐集極豐，他亦為其中之一。
他對賓老藝事瞭解透澈，從發展脈絡入手，不盲目迷信某段時期為最佳，故搜集作品從畫家早歲至晚年皆備，且多流傳有緒，如出自陳柱「守玄閣」、狄平子「平等閣」，如汪彥慈、鄭芷湘等，部份於上世紀八十年代初期借展香港大學藝術系主辦之大型黃賓虹作品展覽。其收藏於九十年代釋出，本幅及編號2757 之〈仿宋山水〉即轉歸「庸禮居」。
