白鷗泛清溪，溪水靜如月；出人殊未來，獨咏心高潔。
丙戌秋日擬宋人筆意寫於昆明湖上。心畬。

註：本幅寫於一九四六年，謂「擬宋人筆意」，實臨自宋畫院崔白之〈竹鷗圖〉，乃清宮舊物，著錄於〈石渠寶笈〉初編，現藏台北故宮博物院。畫中岸渚竹叢，白鷗涉水，風過，竹搖波盪，天趣自生。翌年秋，另有白描同稿者，現藏吉林省博物院，題「寫邊鸞畫意」，更上溯唐人，或為託古之辭。
