of square section, the baluster body with a raised peach-shaped panel on each side, rising to a slightly flared rim with cusped corners, flanked by two rectangular lug handles, covered overall in a flambé glaze of rich mottled red colour, thinning to white at the rim and transmuting to indigo and pale blue along the edges, the base incised with a six-character reign mark

The vase is in overall good condition. There are a couple of minute glaze chips to the corners of the feet and light surface wear.
