the bi disc studded with bosses on one side and decorated with ‘horse-hoof’ motifs on the other, reticulated in the centre with a mythical beast; the two scabbard slides of varying sizes, each with a rectangular top resting on an angular lug beneath and worked in low relief with archaistic scrollwork

There is a small bruise to the edge of the bi-disc located on the russet patch and further occasional insignificant nicks or nibbling along the edge. There are areas of irregularity and pitting to the small scabbard slide more notably on the russet area, some occasional nibbling or nicks along the edges of the larger one, but generally both are in good condition.
