the slightly rounded plaque well worked in the form of two conjoined birds with finely incised plumage and tails, the reverse with two tabs for attachment, the pale celadon stone with an area of russet skin highlighting the head of one bird
Condition
The belthook is in overall good condition. There is some nibbling or occasional tiny nicks along the edges, more pronounced along the edge of the russet area. There are a few areas of pitting in the stone or surface wear, all consistent with age.
