elegantly worked with a slender baluster body rising from a countersunk base to a flared rim, the body bordered with a low-relief taotie band, the neck flanked by a pair of ‘halberd’ handles, the stone of a rich green colour mottled with white and black specks, stand and fitted wood box

The vase is in overall good condition. There are a few typical nicks or minute nibbling along some edges, including the edges of the handles, likely to be original. There is an old republican period wood box accompanying the vase with interior lining slightly worn.
