A FINE ALBUM OF CHINESE PAINTINGS, executed by a school of painters in the city of Chaozhou, Guangdong Province. Although most of the subjects and views are Chinese, the album includes two portraits of Westerners that were almost certainly commissioned. It is therefore likely that the other paintings were also commissioned by a Western traveller as all paintings are in the same format and on the same paper stock. The paintings include work by: 吳凌 (Wu Ling), 劉炳星 (Liu Bing Xing), 吳伯潛 (Wu Bo Qian), 吳宗鐵 (Wu Zong Tie) and 林鵬 (Lin Peng).
