拍品資料及來源
"The designer of this French lithograph must have based the work on a version of Ma Junling's Capital Edition of a Complete Map (of the World Based on) Astronomy or a closely related Chinese source. The large Chinese characters atop the European work reproduce the seal-script general title of Ma's map character for character, and the line of Chinese that extends between the two circular maps is the Chinese title of Ma's version of Matteo Ricci's map. It is clear that the designer of the French map worked from a source filled with Chinese text, for the European map retains the vertically oriented, rectangular borders of place names that appear on different versions of Ma Junliang's map. A numbered key on the left side of the Parisian sheet furnishes French romanizations of Chinese provincial names" (All Under Heaven).
