Torén (or Toreen) was a botanist and priest from Sweden, who went to China with the East India Company in 1750-52. Ekeberg (1716-1784) was a captain in the Swedish East India Company who brought back numerous natural history specimens from his voyages; this work is mostly about Chinese agriculture.
