姜明善

姜明善1974年生於首爾，在仍以男性主導的設計圈子裡，她是當中少數的女性家具設計師之一。她在2007年取得韓國弘益大學木工及家具設計學士及碩士學位，2010年於同校獲頒空間設計博士學位。

姜氏在求學時期探索珠母貝及漆藝兩種韓國裝飾家具的傳統元素，更在其創作加以運用，因而備受國際稱譽。她多年來不斷試驗相關媒介與技巧，最終以珠母貝鑲嵌以及黑或橙紅色的漆藝營造強烈對立，成就世界知名的雕塑家具傑作。她不但復興了傳統珠母貝鑲嵌法，並引入現代元素，更使兩千年前的珠母貝鑲漆工藝復享盛名。姜氏的設計經常受到生動自然的媒材本質啟發，從其桌子、沙發及燈光的流線造型凸顯珠母貝的流光虹彩，創出非凡的概念設計作品，跨越雕塑與家具的創作領域。

姜氏的作品曾於韓國及美國展出。她更積極參與不少國際設計展覽，作品曾於美國、中東及歐洲等地展出。
