Good condition, with just insignificant and expected surface wear, and an original 0.2cm iron spot above the foot. The colour of the glaze is a more vivid and attractive lavender-blue colour, without the slight red tinge in the catalogue photo.

弦紋長頸盤口瓶器形秀雅，姿態纖緻，為雍正御製單色瓷之典型。雍正帝博覽宮藏古珍，廣識多聞，審美鑑賞眼光精到，進而促成當朝製瓷技術突飛猛進，融匯新穎的形制、釉彩，得以造出如此雅器。

長頸瓶源自宋代，此瓶弦紋器形更添一分俐落，彰顯雍正朝別樹一格之美感風格。長頸纖秀，扁圓器腹相形巧緻，頸腹交接處角度乾淨利索，在在嶄露瓷匠高藝。近似此件弦紋長頸盤口瓶之器，雖見內斂婉約，實為美感及技藝之至高成就：器身瓷胎造形無瑕，罩以純淨釉色，燒造溫度精準掌控，才得此完美結晶。因此俗諺「十窰九廢」，專指燒造出成功作例所需，各個環節精準施作的複雜度與完美要求。

另一件長頸盤口瓶，施仿鈞釉，造形及尺寸同為此式，書雍正年款，刊載於朱湯生，《中國瓷器─莊紹綏收藏》，香港，2009年，圖版76；另一例為冬青釉瓶，1989年11月14日售於香港蘇富比，編號166。還有一對釉色與此瓶相近，悉為月白釉，出自 George A. Hearn 及 Insley Blair 舊藏，2012年11月28日售於香港佳士得，編號2120。

宋代長頸瓶原型，可參考一件哥窰瓶，口沿外侈，形制可能源於金銀器，錄於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集‧兩宋瓷器（下）》，香港，1996年，圖版38。此件瓷瓶之頸部造形，可比較一件龍泉青瓷瓶，載於《宋元瓷器特展目錄》，國立故宮博物院，台北，1971年，編號7。
