of ovoid form rising from a short splayed foot to high rounded shoulders, surmounted by a short neck with lipped rim, the stoneware body covered overall with a dark brown glaze, the shoulders with three large uneven splashes of mottled milky blue, the glaze ending in an uneven line short of the base, the domed cover with flaring rim and bud-form finial (2)
Condition
There is a restored chip to the edge of the cover, and two chips to the foot of the jar.
