  • bronze and jade
of hexagonal form raised on a conforming stepped foot, structured in two tiers separated and surmounted by a flaring roof, the sides inset with reticulated serpentine panels carved with lotus scroll borne on leafy stems, the base with a further lotus scroll in champlevé enamel, each roof embellished at the corners with gilt-decorated leaping carp and suspending gilt-metal bells, surmounted by a tall pear-shaped finial, fitted for electricity and converted into a lamp

Condition

Two of the suspended bells now lost. Wear and surface dirt to the gilding all over, as visible in catalogue image. A re-glued break across one of the reticulated panels; and a re-glued break to the upper section of another.
