The current work depicts one of the Saptamatrika or Seven Mothers, a retinue of Shaivite goddesses. Based on the extent iconography and the peahen vahana or vehicle at lower left, it is possible that this depicts Kaumari (also known as Kumari, Karttikeyani and Ambika), the shakti of Karttikeya/Skandha.
