明末 黃花梨卷雲紋牙頭霸王棖琴桌

桌面為格角榫攢邊框，打槽平鑲兩拼板面心，下裝三根穿帶出梢支承，抹頭見明榫。邊抹立面上端平直，自中部向下逐漸內縮至底壓一窄平線。直牙條沿邊起線，帶卷雲紋牙頭。牙子兩端出榫納入腿足，上方齊頭碰入桌面邊框底部。菱形霸王棖下以鈎掛墊榫納入四足，上接桌面下穿帶，以銷釘固定。腿足外圓內方，交面處壓平線。桌面下原來漆裹保存近乎完整。

There is expected shrinkage leaving line gaps to the surface of the table. As visible in the catalogue photo, there is typical surface wear and bruising to the fragile extremities, as expected through its use in a domestic setting over the centuries minor, especially the front two legs. There is typical flaking and wear to the underside.

「鍾古琴者必備。霸王棖，三彎菱式，別開生面。」

明代書籍萬曆版的《魯班經匠家鏡》、1388年撰之《格古要論》均提及長寬若干、適合置放古琴的琴桌。其時的琴桌是否有其他用途，卻不得而知。此琴桌造型優美，直牙條翻出卷雲紋牙頭，桌面與腳足間裝三彎菱形霸王棖。霸王棖是明代家具獨有的構件。
