明末 / 清初 黃花梨升降式燈臺一對

燈臺下部採用座屏風的造型，左右雕卷草紋墩木上植立柱，前後用鎪三簇卷雲紋伴日站牙抵夾，柱間施橫棖二道，嵌裝透雕雲紋縧環板。其下安卷草紋披水牙子。兩根立柱頂端和羅鍋形的橫樑相連，其下還有同樣是羅鍋形橫棖一道。橫樑與橫棖均正中開圓孔，中插燈杆。燈杆下安橫木，成倒T 字形。橫木兩端納入兩根立柱內側的長槽中。故燈杆可上提或下落，隨意調整高度。橫木兩端安活動銅插銷，把插銷推入立柱長槽內在不同高度打鑿的孔洞，便能隨意固定燈杆的高度。燈杆上端安圓盤，上承蠟燭及燈籠，盤下有倒掛透雕螭龍紋牙四塊。

「成對燈臺，寥若晨星。」

明刊本《金瓶梅》「麗春院驚走王三官」一回插圖中的燈臺與現例頗相似。燈臺多成對，惟傳世年久，往往只存其一。故成對傳世實物異常罕見，屈指可數，非常珍貴。

前加州中國古典家具博物館舊藏一對螭龍紋燈臺，載錄於王世襄、袁荃猷，《明式家具萃珍》，美國中華藝文基金會，芝加哥、洛杉磯，1997年，編號84，頁176-177，現存明尼阿波利斯藝術博物館，並錄於 Robert D. Jacobsen 及 Nicholas Grindley，《Classical Chinese Furniture in the Minneapolis Institute of Arts [明尼阿波利斯藝術博物館藏中國古典家具]》，明尼阿波利斯，1999年，頁168-169。

安思遠舊藏且有一對例，錄於安思遠，《Chinese Furniture: Hardwood Examples of the Ming and Early Ching Dynasties [中國家具：明至清前期硬木例子]》，紐約，1971年，頁277，圖版142，近售於2015年3月18日在紐約佳士得，編號104。
