黃花梨蓋盒，蓋巧作弧形，線條流麗，光素無紋，沿僅飾燈草線，邊鑲白銅，正面圓面葉，雲頭形拍子，兩側附提環。

現例小箱，以典型大衣箱為設計藍本。除蓋口與箱口的燈草線外，全身光素。燈草線不僅起了優雅的裝飾作用，也加厚了接觸面，提高耐用性。
盒蓋與立牆四角用白銅葉包裹，同時具裝飾和加固功能，令此類箱具適合用作收納沉重的貴重物品如珠寶、現鈔以及銀兩等。值得一提是體積如此的小盒也附帶提環，顯示被經常移動。盒蓋頂成彎弧形，這類小箱被認為是隨行用的枕頭。
