明末 黃花梨方材高靠背四出頭官帽椅

四出頭官帽椅用方材做，後腿上截穿過椅盤作肩出榫納入彎弧搭腦，一木連做。素面一彎靠背板嵌入搭腦下方與椅盤後大邊槽口，三彎弧形的扶手作肩接入後腿上截與鵝脖，中承如交椅金屬形狀的聯幫棍。鵝脖向後彎納入椅盤，前方安角牙。椅盤格角榫攢邊，四框內緣踩邊打眼造軟屜，現用舊蓆是更替品，下有一雙托帶支承。冰盤沿平直，抹頭出透榫。座面下安帶耳形牙頭素面牙條，左右及後方皆為相同造法，前腿間施一方材格肩棖當腳踏，左右兩邊與後方皆為相同方材管腳趕棖。腳踏棖下裝一素牙子。

As typical of Ming chairs, the matting on the seats and back tests are replaced intermittently. General surface wear and insignificant bruises to the fragile extremities , especially the tips of the legs, as expected of Ming furniture preserved over the centuries in a domestic setting.

此椅設計充份表達明代匠師的精湛技術、藝術造詣。觀賞搭腦優美的造型，枕頭延伸至兩端微上翹；線條流暢的靠背，三彎扶手；帶側腿的腿足，比例之均勻幾臻完美。

高靠背四出頭官帽椅，雖早見於如《金瓶梅》等明代書籍版畫插圖，卻不如方柱造木軸圓角櫃等其他明式家具常見，可謂傳世明朝家具椅型中最稀有之品類。罕見他例，如倫敦維多利亞與艾爾伯特博物館藏方材高靠背四出頭官帽椅子，載於柯律格，《英國國立維多利亞與艾爾伯特博物館．東亞系列．中國家具》，倫敦，1988年，頁18，可資參考。
