明末 黃花梨插肩榫綠紋石面酒桌

桌面為標準格角榫攢邊，面心選用紋理生動的綠石板，下裝漆板加三根穿帶出梢支承。抹頭見透榫。邊抹冰盤沿上舒下斂，至底壓雙線腳。方材腿足沿邊起陽線，上端開口嵌夾造型精巧，帶透雕卷葉紋牙頭的起線牙條。牙頭與牙條一木連做，並與腿足表面平齊，牙條與腿足相交處剔出槽口，以插肩榫嵌夾外皮削出斜肩的腿足上截。腿足中央起二柱香線腳，下端開展如花葉下接足承。桌腳間安二根方材梯棖，四角踩委角線。

As visible in the catalogue photo, there are natural flaws/cracks to the green stone. General surface wear and insignificant bruises to the fragile extremities , especially the tips of the legs, as expected of Ming furniture preserved over the centuries in a domestic setting.

插肩榫酒桌被公認推崇為明朝家具最優美的設計之一。傳世桌案中，插肩榫結構的例子遠少於夾頭榫結構。這可能是由於插肩榫桌案通常附帶精美牙條與足飾，這要求極精確與複雜的做工技巧。

與現例相似的插肩榫酒桌，僅見南非約翰尼斯堡私人收藏一例，但體型較小，載於伍嘉恩，《中國古典家具》，香港，1995年，圖版13；以及伍嘉恩，《明式家具二十年經眼錄》，北京，2010年，頁71（下）。
