Condition
An old glue relining is firm and stable. Overall the paint surface has been very well preserved and there is very nice retention of detail throughout. Under UV examination one can see some scattered inpaints to craquelure in the sky and distant mountains. There are also some scattered retouches at the upper left side of the sky and a possible old repaired puncture in the water at center, above the small boat. Other very small retouches and inpaints of craquelure can be seen in the water and a few on figures. These retouches have been well applied and there is no need for further work. Painting is presentable and can be hung as is.
In a faux ebony wood frame.
