finely cast as a recumbent water buffalo with legs tucked against its robust body, the docile animal modelled with ribbed horns, folds of skin along the neck and tuffs of hair on its legs, turning its head as though in response to the young smiling boy clambering onto its broad back and holding a rope attached through the nostrils of the buffalo, the patina of a yellowish-brown colour
Condition
The paperweight is in overall good condition. There are light surface dents and possibly minor nicks to the the rope. The catalogue illustration is a tinge redder than the actual colour of the bronze.
