of archaistic zun form, with a raised centre body supported on a splayed foot, set below an broad everted rim and vertical crenelated flanges dividing the exterior into four registers, each decorated with a central taotie below confronted chilong around the neck and between cicada panels at foot and rim, all against a leiwen ground, the bronze with a rich dark brown patina

Condition
The vase is in good overall condition. There are a few old nicks below the rim, some wear along the edges of central bulb, flanges or minor dents to the footring, all consistent with age and the type.
