- bronze
of compressed globular form raised on three zoomorphic feet, set with two loop handles formed from coiled archaistic dragons, the exterior cast with unevenly scattered raised bosses resembling a constellation, the base with a six-character archaistic seal mark reading Wuchen Mishantang zhi ('Made in the year wuchen for the Mishan Hall'), the bronze patinated to a rich coppery-brown colour
Condition
The incense burner is in overall good condition. There is a ridge to the interior of the mouth rim indicating that it may originally have a cover. There are some dents to the mouth rim and occasional wear around the exterior, all consistent with age.
