of cylindrical form raised on three short baluster feet, the bulging body cast in low relief with two lança characters and a pair of taotie mask-handles suspending mock rings, the base cast with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark 

There is some surface pitting and occasional wear consistent with age and the type. The mark on the underside is inscribed on a separately cast panel inset to the base of the incense burner.
