boldly worked in openwork with a pair of chilong clambering sinuously through leafy scrolls, one half of the buckle terminating in a dragon-head hook, the other with an accommodating rectangular aperture, the underside of each with a raised circular panel, the stone of an even pale celadon white colour

Condition
The buckle is in overall good condition. There is a small chip to the back of the dragon's head hook measuring approx. 0.6 x 0.3 cm. There are tiny nicks to the edges of the other half of the buckle. There is an approx. 0.8 cm area that may have been polished to conceal a nick to the chilong's tail. The actual colour of the stone is a tinge greener than the catalogue illustration.
