明 龍泉青釉大盤

sturdily potted with curved sides gently rising from a short footring to a slightly lipped rim, covered overall with a lustrous pale celadon glaze, save for a ring on the base left unglazed and burnt orange in the firing

The rim has an approx. 1.6 by 1.1 by 0.6 cm shallow chip. There are also two small grits to the rim (the larger one of approx. 0.5 by 0.2 cm), and another two to the centre (approx. 0.5 by 0.2 and 0.2 by 0.2 cm). The charger also has some typical surface scratches and minor wear especially to the rim. The actual colour is much brighter than the catalogue illustration; the overall tone of the charger is similar to the colour of the rim as shown in the catalogue.
