There is a faint hairline line of approx. 1 cm from the mouthrim, adjacent to a minute shallow glaze flake. The interior also has a few starcracks. The overall condition otherwise is fairly good with only some surface scratches. Most of the enamels have been well preserved.

粉彩雙鳳穿蓮紋蝴蝶耳尊，得瓷匠精粹之技，顯乾隆帝奢麗富華一面，與其相應的另一件瓷尊，原為清宮舊藏，現仍藏北京故宮，刊載於《故宮博物藏文物珍品全集．琺瑯彩．粉彩》，香港，1999年，圖版95（圖一）。二件瓷尊唯一差異為足上蓮瓣紋，此例為藍彩，故宮藏品為粉紅彩。

器身卷葉紋及彷若羽毛尖的花瓣紋，取思自洛可可藝風，富西洋趣味。傳統紋飾之繪畫風格，更融入西畫技巧，中西合璧，動人逼真。台北故宮博物院專家廖寶秀指出，洋彩瓷之燒製得乾隆帝審美品味之賜，且為景德鎮御窰廠督陶官唐英一大成就。在《華麗彩瓷─乾隆洋彩》，台北，2008年，〈乾隆磁胎洋彩綜述〉一文，廖氏提及乾隆帝對於洋彩瓷珍愛重視，將其視為足以代表乾隆盛世之創新工藝（頁32-40）。細白瓷上，以豐富多色之釉上彩，巧繪盛放繁花、仿古鳳鳥及蝙蝠，層次豐富的釉彩，運用細點描法繪成，精細入神。可相比較一對洋彩花卉紋大瓶，花卉紋亦作洋式風格，藏於台北國立故宮博物院，錄於前述出處，編號3，同錄一件黃地花卉紋四方瓶，編號34。

此件粉彩雙鳳穿蓮紋尊，模塑蝴蝶耳，極為珍稀。蝴蝶廣受喜愛，寓意吉祥，象徵祝慶多福，常可見於瓷上。然而銜環蝴蝶耳多見於乾隆時期玉雕廣口洗，瓷器作例卻是鳳毛麟角。蝴蝶以淡黃、綠彩細細繪之，翅膀細點、脈絡，無不生動如真，為瓷尊更添一分巧思，並與花卉紋飾相得益彰。
