- lacquer, mother of pearl
the steep rounded sides rising from a flaring foot to an everted rim, the exterior finely inlaid with mother-of-pearl depicting a continuous scene of figures in a balustrade garden planted with pines and prunus, between two thin floral bands, all above sprays of flowers, the interior and base applied with a copper lining
Condition
There are expected missing inlaids and stabilised age crackles. The metal lining and mount are later additions.
