delicately potted with gently curved sides supported on a short footring, the exterior meticulously painted with Shoulao in long rosy-pink robes secured by a leafy belt, riding on a caparisoned deer with branched antlers, accompanied by an attendant carrying a basket of flowers and lingzhi amongst other treasures with a long hoe, all against a grassy sloped landscape leading to a craggy rock amidst further bushes, the base inscribed with a three-column six-character reign mark in underglaze blue within a double-circle

Condition
The overall condition is very good only with a very faint, close to invisible, body line under the glaze to the rim. The enameling has been generally well preserved.

粉彩禦鹿仙人圖小盌，生動描繪鹿上壽老，回眸笑望隨從，討喜迷人，乃雍正早期粉彩瓷佳作，珍罕至極。仙人粉紅彩袍，施彩厚凝，略透明，為釉上彩創新發展之成果。以礬紅輕細勾勒仙人輪廓，對比隨從青春樣貌，更顯其慈愛胸懷。鹿身皮毛細巧精繪象徵高壽，壽老羽狀腰飾寄意仙氣超凡。
雍正一朝少見人物紋飾，然繪人物時多在素地上作簡雅構圖，呈現雍正瓷內斂雅蘊之質。康熙一朝始研發粉彩色調，於雍正時到達顛峰，淨白素地尤能突顯繽紛多貌的釉上彩。自傳教士傳入玻璃白彩，匠人運用其不透明特性，調出釉上彩深淺萬變之色調，造就粉彩瓷自然美奐效果，此乃前所未見。試比較一件人物圖梅瓶，繪一老者與鹿相望，亦書雍正三行六字款，錄於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集：琺瑯彩．粉彩》，香港，1999年，圖版50，同錄還有一件粉彩仕女對弈圖瓶及人物圖提梁壺，圖版51、54。
小盌之鹿紋似一類書雍正三行六字款鹿紋小盃，1989年11月14日香港蘇富比售出一對，編號297。另一對小盃售於香港佳士得1994年5月1/3日，編號671，曾入 William and Jennifer Shaw 伉儷珍藏，2012年9月11日再度見於紐約蘇富比，編號14。
