There is a tiny 0.1cm body line under the glaze, on the underside of one of the lobes. There are other insignificant scratches to the body, but overall good condition.

此斗笠式葵瓣口造型典雅，盌沿微凹作葵瓣狀，靈感可能源於宋代白瓷，其官窰例見於明永宣年間的景德鎮，後朝也有仿此類明初樣式者。此盌形除青花品種外，景德鎮亦作單色釉例，但幾乎全部毀棄於窰址，難見成器傳世。

一件同樣紋飾作例，屬北京故宮清宮舊藏，載於耿寶昌，《故宮博物院藏明初青花瓷》，北京，2002年，卷2，圖版146；同載一件康熙年製署宣德仿款例，圖版179；兩件紋樣類同的宣德盌例，屬台灣國立故宮博物院藏品，載於《明代宣德官窰菁華特展圖錄》，台北，1998年，編號62，另載於《明宣德瓷器特展目錄》，台北，1980年，編號36；台北1980年圖錄同收錄一件清代仿宣德青花花果葵瓣口盌，編號35。另有一件相同盌例，藏於台灣，疑無款，年代或早於先前三件宣德盌例，載於《明代初年瓷器特展目錄》，台北，1982年，編號20。另見一宣德盌例，屬北京首都博物館藏品，載於《首都博物館藏瓷選》，北京，1991年，圖版97；上海博物館藏例，載於陸明華，《上海博物館藏品研究大系：明代官窰瓷器》，上海，2007年，圖版3-34。

同類盌也見於私人收藏，見康蕊君著《玫茵堂中國陶瓷》，倫敦，1994年，卷2，圖版671，此盌來源有緒，分別為 K.L. Dawes、 John F. Woodthorpe 及 Frederick Mayer 所藏，1954年4月6日於倫敦蘇富比拍出，編號24，後於2011年10月5日香港蘇富比玫茵堂專拍中拍出，編號12。還有一日本舊藏盌，近售於香港蘇富比2013年10月8日，編號3030。

此盌的造型、紋飾宣德以後繼續延燒，見三件可比較的例子，分別為美國前總統胡佛、Allan Hoover 伉儷及 Koger 伉儷收藏，皆售於紐約蘇富比1990年11月27日，編號6 帶宣德年款、編號9帶萬曆年款、編號8是一對十八世紀作品，帶宣德偽款。
