雅書御詩長短句，清詠文房水中丞。素悉乾隆帝擅寫詩，嘉慶帝子延父好，在位期間，亦自寫下詩文無數。嘉慶御題詩瓷器雖較易得見，但有別於乾隆朝，器物上題詩句多見因循。
可參考一嘉慶水丞例，礬紅彩書相同詩文，清宮舊藏，現存北京故宮博物院，錄《故宮博物院藏文物珍品大系·文玩》，上海，2011年，圖版227；此例形制，與本品略異，敞口鼓腹，上下各飾粉彩如意雲頭紋一週。另見上海博物館藏相類水丞一對，器形、紋飾、詩文皆同，見於該館之《中國古代陶瓷館》常設展。相同詠水中丞詩，也有題於嘉慶粉彩蘋果尊之例。
