乙未春帖子詞：
青鳥鳴司啟，條風應立春，高低卜皆熟，冀可慰農人。
要當實政布，詎衹德音修，司事咨京兆，吉辰正在牛。
綵勝華旛繪春意，貞潛元復見天心，千秋龜鑑在經史，四氣循環自古今。

戊申春帖子詞：
申年春入酉，戊土兆辛穰，額手同民幸，乞漿得酒當。
千歲日之至，坐而原可知，其中卜豐穡，言吉為民宜。
去歲嘉平廿八雪，優霑方慶海氛聞，今年春入袷前日，奏凱行將返大軍。

The pair of screens have been preserved well, with just minor areas where small parts of the inlays have been refixed and repainted. There are also expected minor chips to the extremities (especially the agate fingers fruit and prunus blossoms), age crackles to the ivory as well as typical colour loss due to rubbing. The lacquered areas have some expected small chips, stabilised crackles and minor repainted areas. The top left lacquer plaque on each panel appears to have been lowered.

此對掛屏製作巧奪天工，運用錯視效果，於平面漆地上鑲嵌具立體效果的金石、盆景、古器，鑲嵌精緻，妙趣橫生。屏心鑲嵌之物材質各異，由內府各作坊合作而成。鑲嵌之器小巧玲瓏，作工精細，與宮中實物無異。如青銅器上還有包漿皮殼，匠心之巧，令人讚嘆。錯視效果鑲嵌是乾隆時期的創新工藝，表現了乾隆帝好古慕雅，勇於創新的情趣。

掛屏多為成對或成套使用，乾隆時期風行一時，各宮殿以及後妃們寢宮內，無處不見。乾隆帝鍾情於古玩收藏和研究，更自認漢學造詣精深、詩畫創作、多才多藝。 此對屏心所鑲嵌的古今玩物，由插梅花的青花饕餮紋花觚，到牙雕筆筒、青銅器，反映了乾隆帝陳設於書房中的心愛藏品。在屏心鑲嵌古今器物始於康熙年間，乾隆朝最為流行，且種類繁多。Pierre Uldry藏品中一對尺寸較大的掐絲琺瑯嵌寶掛屏，見Helmut Brinker、 Albert Luz著《Chinesisches Cloisonné die Sammlung Pierre Uldry》， 蘇黎世，1985年，圖版309及310；同書圖版307及308為一對較小例子。

傳世品中同類掛屏寥若晨星，所知者惟有三例。一例刻乾隆四十四年款，售香港蘇富比1997年4月29日，編號770；第二例刻乾隆三十八年款，售香港佳士得2009年5月29日，編號1816；第三例為此場拍賣中編號3005。可作比較的類似掛屏，屏頂不帶剔彩裝飾，陳設於紫禁城養心殿內隨安室，見《清代宮廷生活》，香港，1985年，圖版175；另一例售倫敦蘇富比1996年6月11日，編號154；再售香港蘇富比2005年10月23日，編號362。

屏心鑲嵌之物不但反映了書案雅器，更賦吉祥寓意。如代表長壽的福壽三多、桃、葡萄，寓意子孫旺盛的葫蘆、石榴。雙屏頂分別飾剔彩雕「壽」、「吉」紋樣，整體充滿吉慶氣氛，別有情趣。
