Condition
This rare bowl has three hairline rim cracks (6, 5.5 and 2cm., long), a 2cm., hairline bruise line to the base of the footring, loss to the enamels on the interior and two circa 4mm., wide restored flake flakes to the exterior.

明朝龍紋盌及盤，以綠彩或素胎龍紋著名，如本品之外填礬紅內綠彩龍紋盌，則極其罕見。弘治年之盌例，除本品外，現知僅只一件，曾售於倫敦蘇富比1975年7月8日，編號113，借展於San Antonio Museum of Art，1986-1988年，英國鐵路基金會後售於香港蘇富比1989年4月16日，編號26（圖1）。弘治年之相同紋飾盤例，現知僅只一例，外填礬紅雙龍，盤心另繪一龍，龍身素胎上施綠彩，龍爪及卷雲為綠及黃彩，見《故宮藏瓷：明彩瓷三》，香港，1966年，圖版6a-c。同書並錄一弘治年款綠彩龍紋盤，圖版5a-c。本品龍爪處釉面見磨痕，故本盌釉彩極可能為原有，施於製器之時。然而本品直接於素胎上施礬紅彩，極為稀罕，而龍身紅彩略陷於白釉面，故傷彩情況相對輕微。
