carved as a Buddha seated in dhyanasana on a square base, dressed in robes loosely draped over the shoulders partially exposing the upper torso and cascading in folds around the legs, bare right foot and the base supporting his figure, his face rendered with a meditative expression set between long earlobes, below the domed ushnisha, backed by a mandorla, all supported on a two-tiered lotus base of square section, traces of red, black, green and gold pigments remaining

Condition
As visible in the catalogue photo, there are losses to the sculpture, including the right arm. Other minor losses to extremities, including the base. General bruising throughout, with other minor losses to the details, including the face and robes. But overall good condition for a sculpture of this age and rarity.
