在當代藝術界中，曾小俊以畫古樹奇枝為名。其人多才多藝，不只擅畫，更善鑑古典中國傢俱，在行內甚有名望；而且甚愛奇石異木，收藏無數。曾小俊被視為當代的文人，傳統與當代文化在他身上自然糅合。《一萬筆劃》是曾小俊作品中的別樹一幟的精品，以山水為題材，而非盤根怪枝、老樹枯葉。錯綜糾纏的線條是畫家對抽象、色彩和節奏的探索痕跡。近處看，可見俐落靈巧的筆觸下糾纏的紋理和細枝末節。遠處看，散發簡約抽象風格的活力：那蜿蜒曲折、水墨與色彩相匯交錯的迷宮，飄渺迷茫，又靈動秀逸，疑幻似真，吸引觀眾遁入其中，有如恢宏的北宋山水畫，蘊含無限生意，激發畫家的想像。
