小西紀行

日本當代藝術經常與影響深遠、以村上隆為首的「超扁平」運動劃上等號，或受到奈良美智的可愛風格所影響，被冠上「卡娃依」的外號，甚至讓人聯想到草間彌生的普普畫風。今次拍賣會隆重介紹多位才華橫溢、年輕出眾的日本藝術家，風格有別於以上各個藝術運動的大方向，聚焦於簡約主義、人物肖像、超現實，以至抽象主義。這批年輕藝術家的作品，為日本當代藝術注入新氣象，讓觀眾以全新角度審視既有藝術形式。

以充滿情感的行動畫派風格見稱，早於二〇〇四年在東京Gallery ES 舉行的首場個展，已讓他在日本當代藝壇嶄露頭角。他以非寫實線條及顏點刻畫人物姿態，輪廓剛強鮮明，並在畫布上留下創作時的揮動痕跡。筆觸灑動的即時性，與及勾畫形體時的細膩線條，讓他的肖像畫流露出一股原始美。他在二〇〇七年於武藏野美術大學修畢研究碩士課程，隨後積極參與東京多項群展，包括：行幸通地下通路藝廊的「丸之內2013特別展示」（二〇一三年）、ARATANIURANO 的「Drawings」（二〇一二年）及上野之森美術館的「VOCA 展 2009」（二〇〇九年），海外群展則有台北谷公館的「Long Season」及首爾SOMA美術館的「Emotional Drawing」（二〇〇九年）。主要個展包括東京Gallery AM的「Crazy for Painting」（二〇一二年）及美國邁阿密的「NADA ART FAIR MIAMI BEACH」（二〇一〇年）。將小西紀行納入收藏的有 Pigozzi Collection、高橋收藏及Burger Collection。
