The recessed leg table is in good condition with the exception of a 5 by 5cm., irregularly-shaped patch to the top surface, repaired breaks to the spandrels, a replaced fillet to the top of one leg by the spandrel, light scratches to the top surface and minor surface wear commensurate with age.

本案兩端翹頭，雲紋式角牙，映襯黃花梨木紋，更見華美，中式家具，以此式樣堪稱翹楚。此類案或兩端翹頭、或案面平直，闊窄不一，闊者，供觀賞書畫或繪畫，窄者，小巧便攜。本案比例均稱，觀之悅目，弧、直線配合得宜，故而種類紛呈，配搭靈活。

此式樣最早見於宋朝，夾頭榫、格角榫、一木連做牙條並裝細小角牙、雙橫棖，均為特色。兩例可見於《村童鬧學圖》，斷代宋朝，圖載於王世襄，，《Chinese Furniture. Selected Articles from Orientations 1984-1999》，香港，1999年，頁55，圖版35。

Henry Vetch收藏一黃花梨案例，兩端翹頭，圖載於Gustav Ecke，《Chinese Domestic Furniture》，拉特蘭，1962年，圖版 45；另一例載於展覽圖錄《 Ming Furniture》，Ming Furniture Ltd，博卡拉頓，1987年，編號2。此外尚可比較一例，屬較早期式樣，圖載於王世襄，出處同上，頁52，圖版25。
