The table is in good condition with the exception of replaced apron fretwork to one of the long sides and the central section of the opposite side and minor surface scratches and wear commensurate with age.

本桌造工精巧，牙條帶幾何卷草紋飾，對比四面平式簡潔設計，彰顯十八世紀木匠造詣嫻熟，成就非凡。如此方角紋飾，似啟發自竹製家具結構，桌椅牙條及橫棖上加短竹枝，令其更為穩固，一例見於大理國描工張勝溫（活躍於12世紀）畫梵像卷，該卷現藏於台北故宮博物院，圖載於Ronald W. Longsdorf，《Chinese Furniture. Selected Articles from Orientations 1984-1999》，香港，1999年，頁186，圖版2a。如本桌之幾何紋飾流行於清朝，田家青論述，此品類應為蘇州藝匠所製，製於蘇州或清宮造辦處，詳見，《Chinese Furniture. Selected Articles from Orientations 1984-1999》，香港，1999年，頁218。

牙條帶紋飾及足帶托泥之四面平式桌甚為罕見，可參考一例，製於十九世紀，倫敦維多利亞與艾伯特博物館，圖載於Craig Clunas，《Chinese Furniture》，倫敦，1988年，圖版45；一對紫檀桌售於紐約蘇富比2010年9月15日，編號351；北京故宮博物院收藏一例，無托泥、刻幾何紋浮雕載於《 A Treasury of Ming and Qing Dynasty Palace Furniture》，北京，2007年，卷1，圖版217。相近幾何卷草紋亦見於束腰桌例， 出自H.T.
