  • bronze
the deep U-shaped sides flaring slightly at the mouth, cast with a taotie mask with large C-shaped horns and a bovine head in high relief on each side, the vessel flanked by a pair of loop handles each issuing from a bovine mask and terminating in a hooked pendent tab, the slightly flared foot decorated with a frieze of kui dragons, the silvery-gray patina with some malachite encrustation

It is generally in good condition. Both the exterior and the interior have been cleaned, resulting in a slightly dull surface patina. The clay core of the handles has been removed.
