註：善子、大千手足情深，大千重兄如父，遵其教，藝事亦受其影響。善子遽然逝世後，大千珍視其遺物，每遇其作，嘗蓄之留念，甚或易以己畫。本幅即「大風堂」所藏，後付與兒輩。
善子以畫虎聞名，本幅乃四呎中堂，見猛虎高踞層巖，下臨叠泉急瀑，瞪目怒視，長嘯響徹山頭，具一夫當關之威嚴。畫上題識見修補痕跡，或原藏者釋出時挖掉上款。大千以畫作精彩，小疵不掩大瑜，遂收歸「大風堂」。
