註：朱梅邨少從樊浩霖作山水，十九歲因染傷寒輟學，從此隨母舅吳湖帆習畫，移居滬上後，不離吳氏左右，臨其藏品，觀其作畫，得其筆下水墨渾化，煙雲虛實有無之法。

本幅謂倣曹知白筆意，題太白詩，卻更多取法乃師吳湖帆畫風。中遠景以淡墨淺色寫春山淡冶含翠，近景則極盡點染能事，見柳垂溪畔，葦叢夾岸，細水無波，間有一樹桃花，綠繞紅綴，薰風暖香。以白粉、赭石，摻合淡墨，復點胭脂，畫灰鴨白鵝，拍翅戲水，更添春意盎然。
