註：蘆溝橋事變，舊京陷敵，大千先生滯留，直到翌年五月，方設計逃離，輾轉抵滬，寄寓於摯交鎮海李氏兄妹祖韓、秋君家中。本幅題「己卯十一月」，即一九三九年底，寫於李秋君之「歐湘館」中。雖烽火連天，他得秋君照拂，「歐湘館」中尚存一息靜謐，閨閣裡掙得方寸作畫空間，故從中所出，或消永晝，或贈友朋，皆愜意隨心。
畫中見虬松橫空而出，粗幹昂首挺拔，曲枝盤屈如騰蛟，高士披巾策杖，躑躅獨行於其下，一派優悠自得，似遺世獨立，無乃畫家此刻期盼心境寧靜之寫照。
