現藏者於一九八五至九七年間，隨日本友好交流圑多次訪華，因好藝術，得有關官員安排引見當地之著名書畫家，並向他們訂購作品，包括啟功、周思聰、白雪石、吳冠中、李可染等。
本幅得於九十年代初。現藏者是時登門拜謁吳冠中，畫家並介紹張貼於牆上，尚待完成之作品。日後寫畢，遂轉歸之留念。
