法國私人舊藏林風眠精品（編號1224－1227）

本輯原藏者乃法籍收藏家加士亞（Gassier）。上世紀五十年代中，他在法國大型船行「法蘭西火輪船公司」擔任船長。該公司成立於一八五一年，在建造遠洋輪船外，經營往來法國及地中海、非洲、歐亞等地之航運；遠東則以時受法國殖民統治的越南西貢為基地，經營來往香港、上海、日本及澳洲等地之航線，為二十世紀法國航運界巨頭。

在一九五五至六四年間，加士亞氏服務於該公司亞洲航線，派駐上海及香港。本輯所錄之作品，乃其居停滬上期間，購自林風眠畫展。後攜赴香港，在位於中環威靈頓街之「華彰號」畫框店裝框保存，復帶返法國，一直懸掛於其馬賽寓所，身故後方釋出。作品皆保持當年裝裱，除〈荷花〉一幅在馬賽裝框外，其餘皆維持原框舊貌。
